HOUSTON – The Cincinnati Reds will look to cap off a three-game sweep of the Houston Astros this Sunday, June 18. The Reds are currently on a seven-game winning streak and now over .500 on the year.

Luke Weaver will start for the Reds, while Ronel Blanco toes the rubber for the Astros. Weaver currently has a 1-2 record with a 6.23 ERA.

Matt McLain has been red-hot since being called up, hitting .323 in his first 30 games. Jonathan India and Spencer Steer lead the team with nine home runs each. Elly De La Cruz has six steals and six walks in his ten games of Major League action.

None of the Reds hitters have faced Blanco so far in his career.

Will Benson went 3-3 with a triple and two walks in last night’s rout of the Astros. India connected on a first inning home run and McLain picked up two hits, including a triple. Hunter Greene earned the win on the mound, throwing six innings and allowing only two runs.

Alexis Diaz converted his 23rd consecutive save on Friday night.

The Reds are 1.5 games out of first place in the NL Central with a record of 36-35. The final game of the road trip will start at 2:10 EST in Houston. The Reds will head back to Cincinnati to begin a three-game set against the Rockies.
